Sedicii is an award-winning company focused on confidential collaborative computing without sharing sensitive information but still achieving a joint outcome. It does this using a number of advanced and distributed technologies to capture, compare and validate and calculate results. To support this, it is creating a federated, global identity verification network which enables real-time identity verification by certified, trusted identity providers (governments, banks, telco’s, utilities), ensuring that businesses can react quickly to new government, regulatory and industry demands for real-time identity verification, authentication and trust services. The company develops software as a KYC, AML service for the identification and authentication of people, vehicles, products and other physical and virtual goods and services. Included in our identity network are enabling products including authentication software, a KYB and KYC Onboarding solution (the only of its kind!) and AML Monitoring and Payment Pre-execution software. Government and different industry sector organisations are starting to use these for yet more use cases in supply chains, border controls, health, aviation, maritime, logistics and more.
The Lead Crypto mathematician will report to the Head of Development.
Lead the design of Sedicii’s cryptographic protocols and primitives, which primarily revolve around SMPC and ZKP. Sedicii has developed its own ZKP and SMPC protocols and is actively enhancing them. We are looking for a creative person with a strong mathematical background on cryptography capable of evolving our technology, researching and developing new ideas and pushing the boundaries of state-of-the-art cryptography. This person will closely work with our CTO, our Head of Development and our Lead Crypto Developer to help transform new ideas into cutting-edge technology that helps preserve the citizens’ privacy while enabling governments and companies to process their personal data. Sedicii is pioneering the use of SMPC to provide a general-purpose confidential collaborative computing capability that can be applied to a number of industries. For instance, in the finance sector, our SMPC allows banks
to collaborate without sharing data in order to detect transaction fraud, money laundering and terrorism financing. Sedicii is using ZKP to help citizens authenticate and verify their identity without disclosing personal information.
The position is full-time and remote with the possibility to relocate to Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain and other locations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Lead the design and evolution of Sedicii’s cryptographic primitives
· Research and explore innovative ideas
· Write whitepapers, patents, and publish scientific papers
· Design/enhance Sedicii SMPC’s support for:
o 2+ parties
o Security model with malicious adversaries
o Audit functions
o Party enrolment and identity verification
o An inter-party data governance framework
· Facilitate the transformation of cryptographic technology into products
· Design efficient algorithms to run on top of SMPC
· Mathematics, physics or engineering degree
· Ph.D. or master in cryptography
· 3+ years of experience
· Must-have skills:
o Experience in the design of cryptographic systems
· Nice-to-have skills:
o Experience in the design of SMPC protocols
o Experience in the design of ZKP protocols
