LOOKING FOR WATERFORD'S UP-AND-COMING ENTREPRENEURS.

All those with a new innovative idea or who have recently established a business within the last 18 months are encouraged to apply, as cash and industry prizes will be awarded!

Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Waterford, ArcLabs Research and Innovation Centre, Boxworks, and Crystal Valley Tech have teamed up to launch a new Start-Up Competition for those with an innovative business idea or those who have been in business for less than 18 months.

The programme will accept applications for two types of positions:

Best Business Concept

Best New Business (trading for 18 months)

Successful applicants will be chosen for a Business Bootcamp, where they will be guided through the early stages of developing their idea/business. Before presenting, participants will fine-tune their pitches to the judges who will choose the best pitches, with winners announced on the day

The Entrepreneurs Academy will deliver the Bootcamp for free to a limited number of participants over a day and a half on September 29 - 30, 2022.

Spaces are limited, so those interested should fill out an expression of interest form before Monday, September 26th, at 10 a.m.

Please keep in mind that this programme is only available to Waterford residents.

Entrepreneurs Academy is Ireland's leading authority on entrepreneurship and leadership. With over 21 years of experience delivering Start Your Business programmes, we are recognised experts in training entrepreneurs to ignite and grow their businesses.

The first day of the programme will be held at ArcLabs, the Waterford Institute of Technology's business incubator, which is (or has been) home to some of the most innovative companies in digital technology. Mentors from the programme will work with participants to review their idea, select the best business model, research market trends, plan the route to market, and create a business pitch.

The second day will be spent on-site at Boxworks, Waterford's coworking space for the tech and creative industries, as well as a hub for forward-thinking entrepreneurs, startups, and ambitious small businesses. Participants will fine-tune their pitches before presenting them to the judges, who will choose the top pitches and announce the prize winners on the day.
