Sedicci named as Finalist for 2013 ESB Spark of Genius AwardOctober 14 2013
Sedicci is amongst the (almost) 30 finalists in the ESB Spark of Genius Award which will take place at the Dublin Web Summit in just under three weeks.
The competition, which is now in its fourth year, focuses on the most promising high potential Irish start-ups.
Two rounds of pitching will take place and the grand final will play out on the Main Stage at the Dublin Web Summit, in front of an audience of thousands of leading international start-ups and technology investors.

FoneSense, Tech start-up of the week, is a new mobile-advertising platform. It allows brands to reward mobile-phone users for selecting and using a branded advertising jingle as their ringtone. Christian Ryder, who hails from Arklow, Co Wicklow, is the brain behind the app.
The start-up was just recently accepted onto the Wayra accelerator for early stage ventures and also recently received €50,000 from Enterprise Ireland via the Competitive Start Fund.
A few days ago the start-up was revealed as one of the 30 start-up finalists for the ESB Spark of Genius competition, which will take place at the Dublin Web Summit later this month.
Ryder, a graduate of the Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT), worked for the Telecommunications Software & Systems Group (TSSG) in Waterford as well as at Ericsson, GBR Direct and Elavon before starting to work on FoneSense.
Multipath Networks launches crowdfunding campaignOctober 02 2013
Multipath Networks is getting a lot of attention online with its new crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo. The company has developed a router that can combine several types of broadband connections, from multiple providers, to boost the speed, quality and resilience of the network service. Company founder, Justin Collery, points out that many users already have multiple fixed-line and mobile Internet connections that can now be combined to provide a better and more reliable service. The video on Indiegogo explains several ways in which broadband services can be combined and the campaign offers a number of options for funding the project.Close Permalink
Good news for FonesenseSeptember 18 2013
Fonesense, led by Christian Ryder, recently completed the New Frontiers programme at WIT and has good news on a number of fronts. FoneSense were featured in a Sunday Business Post article last weekend have been offered a place on Wayra 2013. FoneSense will also be included in a showcase of the best Irish start-ups at DLD Tel Aviv, a major international conference that will attract over 6000 people and 200 VC firms.Close Permalink
