Entrepreneurs, innovators and people with ideas in the South East region are invited to get involved as both speakers and learners for an upcoming conference with a difference.

Organised BY entrepreneurs, FOR entrepreneurs, Bizcamp South East is the first event of its kind to be held here in the South East on June 12th. Based in the Arclabs Research & Innovation Centre at WIT, this day long event follows the model set by previous successful events held in Dublin and Limerick.

FeedHenry spins out from WIT

TSSG has announced the spin out of a mobile applications development company, FeedHenry. The technology behind the FeedHenry platform was developed through funding from Enterprise Ireland's commercialisation programmes and has been trialled with a number of commercial organisations. The platform enables business and telecomms applications to be developed once for all smartphones, social media sites and startpages.

It was also announced that Cathal McGloin has joined FeedHenry as CEO. Mr McGloin was President of Arantech Inc., the North American subsidiary of Aran Technologies, a telecomms company which was acquired in 2009.

FeedHenry has been recognised for its technology with awards from CTIA and Internet Telephony Magazine.

Anko launches e-book publishing service

Anko Publishing Software has launched a service to convert documents into a range of digital e-book formats. The service will also generate rich ONIX bibliographic information that can be used in the publishing supply chain . Anko will submit titles to the major e-book websites and can register the artistic works with the ISTC (International Standard Text Code) database, to maximise the discoverability of published works.
