    Dr. Aisling O'Neill

    With sites in Waterford and Kilkenny, ArcLabs represents a unique entrepreneurial ecosystem, marrying academia, research, innovation and enterprise. As such, Aisling is active in advocating for the region in terms of the capacity here (particularly within ArcLabs) to support high potential start-ups and supports the existing ArcLabs community while seeking out the entrepreneurs and business ideas for the future development of ArcLabs. Aisling is always available to discuss business ideas and ways that WIT can support the development of enterprise in the region.

    Ms. Clare Mc Cormack

    Clare has worked in WIT for the past 8 years, in the Research Support Unit, the Technology Transfer Office and the New Frontiers Programme and for the last two years in ArcLabs, West Campus.

    During these years she has gained extensive knowledge in the areas of Research Funding Industry Collaboration and Entrepreneurship.

    In the role of ArcLabs Senior Administrator Clare is responsible for the provision of administrative support and interacting with ArcLabs client companies that work on an international basis from both the Waterford and Kilkenny sites. She is responsible for the provision and delivery of support services for TSSG, Carriganore House, National Biodiversity Data Centre and remotely assisting clients on the ArcLabs Kilkenny site in Burrels Hall in St Kierans College with enquiries and issues.

    Her role is a key part of the environment that nurtures growing businesses and is significant in supporting the collaboration between entrepreneurs, researchers and academics.

    Dr. Eugene Crehan

    Eugene is Director of Programmes at the Centre for Enterprise Development and Regional Economy (CEDRE) and currently manages the Enterprise Ireland New Frontiers Programme. Eugene is highly experienced in working with start-ups and early stage businesses and helps start-up promoters in commercialising their business concepts. He has access to multiple entrepreneurship related networks relevant to early stage businesses. He has significant experience in international business development having held senior management positions with organisations such as Diageo (Baileys), Waterford Crystal and A.T. Cross. He has lived in the USA, Europe and the Middle East and has conducted business in over 50 countries during 18 years of international roles.

    Specifically, Eugene helps business promoters with the following: Customer Value Proposition / Product-Market fit / Investment ready business planning / Introduction to potential investors and accessing business networks. @eugenecrehan

    Prof. Bill O'Gorman

    Prof. Bill O’Gorman is the Director for Research for the Centre for Enterprise Development and Regional Economy (CEDRE) based in ArcLabs Research & Innovation Centre. CEDRE is part of the School of Business, Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT). Bill has over 25 year’s manufacturing and operational experience working in MNEs at senior management and executive levels. He also started his own electronics sub-contracting manufacturing company and was MD of that company for 11 years. Currently Bill is a Director of a number of Enterprise Centres in Ireland as well as a number of micro-enterprises and SMEs. Since 2004, Bill has mentored entrepreneurs from inception of their companies to growth and internationalisation. He has also served on many government roundtables developing innovation and enterprise policies.

    Dr. James O'Sullivan

    James manages the Technology Transfer Office in the Institute. The primary focus of his role is to ensure the professional management of Intellectual Property. James provides guidance to both internal and external stakeholders on the creation, protection and exploitation of all forms of intellectual property including knowhow, copyright, designs and patents. When engaging with the Institute James will ensure that all forms of contractual agreements created, safeguard the interests of the parties. As a Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP) James can provide expert advice on all areas of knowledge transfer from within consultancy projects to large-scale Horizon 2020 consortia.
