    Aisling O'Neill

    Aisling has over 10 years experience working across various research and innovation roles, with research positions on the European funded SLNIW, FIERE and eDIGIREGION projects in the Centre for Enterprise Development and Regional Economy as well as in the Office of Research and Innovation as National Research Programme Officer. Aisling completed her PhD in entrepreneurship in 2016 under the supervision of Prof Bill O’Gorman at Waterford Institute of Technology. Her PhD focussed on the area of entrepreneurship and networks, with specific interest in the dynamic nature of entrepreneurs’ network development. Aisling has presented her research internationally, across Ireland, the UK, Europe and the US.

    Aisling was President of the Network Ireland Waterford branch for two years (2017 and 2018). In January 2019, Aisling was elected Vice President Designate of the national organisation which means she will be President of Network Ireland in 2021.

    Aisling thrives on working with entrepreneurs and is driven to participate in fostering a sustainable economy in Waterford and the South East region of Ireland.

    Eugene Crehan

    Eugene's business background is in international marketing and sales. He is an entrepreneur with expertise in business development, strategic planning and business start-up support.

    Prof. Bill O'Gorman

    Bill runs a research group and mentors new and developing businesses. Prior to joining academia, Bill ran his own business for 9 years. His work experience includes executive-level roles in multinational organisations.

    Dr. James O'Sullivan

    James attributes WIT's success in R&D to, "Our understanding about how to leverage industry funding, to access further funding to make their contribution go further, our focus on the business opportunity and not just the project, and our commitment to all parties.” WIT has more than 250 ongoing projects with a variety of companies across different industry sectors.
