Immersive VR Education exceeds Kickstarter goal

Irish company Immersive VR Education are celebrating today after successfully funding their Apollo 11 Virtual Reality Experience using crowd funding website Kickstarter. The Waterford based company was formed late last year and have big plans to change the face of education worldwide by providing virtual reality content that can be used in schools, colleges, universities, research centres and corporate training. Immersive VR Education are opening a new development studio in Waterford and are being helped and supported by Enterprise Ireland and TSSG a major research group in the region. Consumer ready virtual reality is being released later this year with major companies like Sony, Oculus, HTC, Samsung, Microsoft, Google and Apple all working on VR enabled devices. The VR revolution is expected to spread quickly with an estimated 15 million devices being purchased in 2016 alone.
